Facility Use Request

Grand Lake United Methodist Church is excited to share its facilities in support of ministry, fellowship, and community use. If you are interested in reserving space for an event or gathering, please complete the Facility Use Application below.
All requests are reviewed to ensure space availability, appropriate use, and alignment with church policies. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. You will be contacted once your request has been reviewed and scheduled.

NOTE: Events involving children, youth, or vulnerable adults must comply with the church’s Safe Sanctuaries policies, including supervision and screening requirements.

Once your application has been approved and placed on the church calendar, you will receive a payment link. 

Facility Use Agreement

A great deal of time, effort, and financial resources are invested each year to make Grand Lake United Methodist Church’s facilities a welcoming and functional place for fellowship and ministry. We encourage the use of these facilities by church groups, members, and other nonprofit organizations, and ask that all users follow the guidelines below to help maintain our facilities and ensure their availability for all. 
  • Availability - Use of church facilities requires advance scheduling. Availability must be confirmed with the church office, via this form, and all requests are subject to approval by the Building Manager.
  • Operation of Equipment - Use of specialized equipment requires approval and oversight. Kitchen equipment may only be operated trained individuals. Training will be provided by the Building Manager. Use of the sound/media system must be coordinated in advance with the sound/media technician or the Building Manager. 
  • Care of Facilities - Facilities are used daily and often by multiple groups. Users are expected to leave all spaces clean and ready for the next group. Unlabeled items left in refrigerators may be used or discarded. All personal items must be removed, and tables should be cleared & washed after each use. All trash should be placed in the dumpster.
  • Off-Site Use of Equipment - Church equipment may not be removed from church property without prior approval from the Board of Trustees or the Building Manager. 
  • Safe Sanctuaries Compliance - All groups using church facilities must comply with Grand Lake United Methodist Church’s Safe Sanctuaries policies. Any activity involving children, youth, or vulnerable adults must follow all applicable supervision, screening, and safety requirements.
  • Responsible Party  - The individual signing the application agrees to be present for setup, the event, and cleanup, to remain on site until all members of their group have left the facility, and to ensure lights are turned off and trash is taken out before leaving.
  • Right to Refuse Use - Grand Lake United Methodist Church reserves the right to refuse or deny any facility use application for groups or activities that are not consistent with the mission, vision, principles, or policies of the church.
  • Damage to Property - Groups using church facilities are responsible for any damage to buildings, equipment, or furnishings resulting from their use and may be charged for repair or replacement costs.
  • Liability - Use of church facilities is at the user’s own risk. Grand Lake United Methodist Church is not responsible for personal injury or loss of personal property incurred during facility use.  
  • Facility Use Expectations - In keeping with the mission and values of the church, all groups using the facilities are expected to observe the following:
    • No games of chance.
    • No smoking, vaping, THC products, or alcoholic beverages on church property, including the parking lot.
    • Groups are to remain within the areas reserved for their event.
  • Policy Enforcement - Failure to comply with this agreement or related church policies may result in immediate termination of facility use and may affect approval of future requests.
  • Non-Endorsement - Use of church facilities does not imply endorsement of the beliefs, activities, or viewpoints of outside groups.
