Grand Lake Kids Event Calendar

The Family Experience is designed to help parents strategically pass down their faith to their children in an annual ceremony.
We'll give you the tools you'll need to carry out a Family Experience each year including:
- A Planning Guide to walk you through the resources and the actual ceremony.
- 3 Videos explaining the why and how of each Family Experience.
- Kick Starters for Biblical family discussion time to lead up to the experience.

Each year we'll focus on the biggest milestone for the year and give you the tools to make this milestone one to remember.

Monumental Vacation Bible School

Our Awesome God did something amazing in 2022!!

This summer, Grand Lake UMC, Bethany UMC, Wapakoneta First UMC, Grace Missionary Church, Celina First Church of God and Abounding Grace hosted 228 children and 97 leaders at Monumental VBS: Celebrating God’s Greatness!

Kids at Monumental VBS joined together and raised a monumental $27,542.47 to build a new cabin and support the work at Hand-Up Village, a community non-profit that provides shelter to Mercer County residents in need. Over fifty kids gathered and washed cars to raise over $2,400 of that money! Bethany UMC also held a cupcake sale to help raise over $5,500! We truly have an awesome God! We celebrated with a Celina fire truck spraying down the kids!
At Monumental, kids explored the sunbaked Southwestern desert as they dug into God’s great love! Kids participated in memorable Bible-learning activities, sang catchy songs, played teamwork-building games, and devoured yummy treats, all while experiencing one-of-a-kind Bible Adventures to remind them of God’s love. Plus, kids learned to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings.
